World Teachers' Day Web Conference

In 2019, World Teachers’ Day celebrated teachers with the theme, “Young Teachers: The future of the Profession.” The day provided an occasion to celebrate the teaching profession worldwide, to take stock of achievements, and to address some of the issues central for attracting and keeping the brightest minds and young talents in the profession.

The British Council and IATEFL web conference on Saturday 5 October provided teachers and teacher educators young and old with an opportunity to celebrate their work, develop their skills and share ideas with colleagues around the world by attending presentations by experts on an extensive range of key issues in the teaching profession.
The web conference was free and featured four 1-hour plenaries and twelve 45-minute presentations, each one looking at an important aspect of teaching, teacher education and the teaching profession.
