This lesson helps learners think about the importance of looking after their teeth.

In this lesson, learners will listen to a song about taking care of teeth and complete some comprehension activities. Then they will think about good and bad ways of looking after teeth, and produce either a poster or a questionnaire related to their ideas. Finally, they will look at different types of teeth and their function.

Aims

To develop and practise:

  • vocabulary: words connected to teeth and teeth brushing
  • structure: 'should' and 'shouldn't'
  • curricular work: types of teeth, looking after teeth
  • integrated skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing

I like the point that teachers would remind Children to keep their lost teeth somewhere - such as the gift boxes, shelves, drawers, or somewhere. This point can help them memorize the happiness and paints in the growth. After a long time, when they re-open the boxes, what happened in the past would remember them how they had passed by their childhood. Meanwhile, based on humanity, it would give them the senses of achievement in growth. I think, in the practice, we can try to develop this part by making some dialogues and stories
