Rants and Raves - Mobile Phones

 This activity provides short listening practice based around a monologue about mobile phones. The monologue relays how the speaker feels about mobile phones in society, particularly on trains.

In this lesson, students will listen to a monologue about mobile phones. They will put the monologue in the correct order and listen to check answers. There are also suggestions for developing the theme of mobile phones to practise specific areas of grammar. 

Aims:

  • To Practice listening skills
  • To improve students’ vocabulary and speaking skills specifically related to mobile phones

Age group:

Adults

Level:

CEF level A2-B1

Time:

30 minutes plus time for developing the theme

I would love to be able to use some of the brilliant audio productions with my pupils....is there any way of downloading them? As my classroom doesn't have internet i can only use material which i have previously downloaded. Thanks

Hi Su, Thanks for your feedback - if you right click on the 'Play' button on the audio file, and then click on 'Save audio as' you should be able to save the file onto your computer for use offline. Hope that helps, Cath
