Students love the freedom to do their own thing and take more responsibility. Teachers can encourage this by finding out their learners’ existing knowledge and interests.

In this programme, we hear about the different stages involved in a project.

  • From Turkey, we learn about deciding on a new concept, such as a new sport, and presenting it to the class.
  • From Ethiopia, we learn about getting information through interviews outside school to go onto a timeline on the wall.  
  • From Mexico, we find out about learning about an English speaking cultural event, making masks and acting out a game.
