Theme: Music
Lexical area: Types of music

This lesson offers a variety of activities based on the topic of music. Students will firstly review vocabulary related to pop music, and then do a ‘find someone who’ activity to ask each other questions connected to music. Students will then listen to some music clips and make some notes to comment on them, and then read a text about the UK grime music scene. There is also a role play about the issue of downloading music from the internet, and then students will write their own music quiz in groups to do in teams.

• To review music vocabulary
• To practise speaking skills
• To practise reading skills
• To review question formation

Age group: 12- adult


Level: B1 / B2


Time: 60 – 90 minutes
