This book was produced following the Hornby workshop on language improvement for teachers in Senegal in 2009.

The book was designed to be suitable for teachers at various levels of language proficiency. It is task-based, and can be used as a self-access or training course manual. The 10 chapters include ‘Using English effectively in the classroom’; ‘Managing the classroom’; ‘Adapting materials’; and ‘Helping teachers with change’.
