
This Essential UK lesson plan is part of four entitled ‘Destination UK’. They look at the four countries that make up the UK –this one focuses on Scotland.
Students will do a quiz to see what they know about Scotland, speak about minority languages and their importance, write questions for a text about life in Scotland, and read about the national dish of haggis. Finally students will have the opportunity to write a short description of their own national dish.

• To practise reading skills
• To practise speaking skills
• To practise question formation
• To practise writing skills with a short description
