The BBC has partnered with British Council in developing some of its websites for teachers. The BBC's Learning English website, has a section specifically for teachers. This contains a number of downloadable resources including teaching guides for an online soap opera, lesson plans connected to talks and audio news reports, multiple choice quizzes and a radio series on Innovations in teaching which includes a programme on CLIL.
A separate section of this website contains a number of resources for Business English teachers.
BBC Active English Language Learning (formerly BBC ELT) operates through licensing arrangements with publishing and distribution partners worldwide. The BBC Active catalogue comprises new English language learning brands in media such as print, audio, DVD, VCD, video.
