This lesson plan for teachers of teenagers and adults at intermediate level and above explores the theme of April Fools’ Day. Students will build their knowledge of this day and develop reading and speaking skills.

Introduction

This lesson gives students the opportunity to find out about what happens on April Fool’s Day, April 1st, in the UK. It’s the one day of the year when it’s acceptable to play jokes on your friends and colleagues.

Many countries have their own equivalent of April Fool’s Day.
